What makes Parkinson's Online Fitness training different?

Most fitness training programs help keep the muscles strong, energy, and stamina high as long as the person can endure the training. The challenge is that Parkinson’s is a brain problem, not simply a physical one. Many PWPDs fail physical fitness training programs because they can no longer control their bodies or minds. Our Parkinson’s Online Fitness Training programs train the brain, simultaneously with the body and mind, to regain control of the body’s functions that support independent living. Join our class and let us help you focus on stabilizing your health and maintaining your independence. Your Life can become better, your symptoms more manageable and you can gain back balance, coordination, dexterity, strength, flexibility, endurance and can live a high quality, happy life. Because of their stiffness, slowness, and weakness, many PWPDs feel they can no longer enjoy activities with their family and friends. Many believe the decline in their health has taken their ability to live safely and independently. Our functional fitness testing and assessment can offer a solution. Testing is our way of evaluating, monitoring and assessing 9 a client’s ability to complete the task of daily living as it relates to their strength, flexibility, and ability to function independently. We provide the most comprehensive evaluation to clearly and accurately determine the PWPD functional fitness, intervention, and training needs.

Physical Readiness Consultation

Feel free to request any support service with or without consultation. Our Physical readiness consultation evaluates symptoms and determines the support that is needed. We listen to the PWPD to find out what they are doing and what the doctors and physical therapists are suggesting and make recommendations about where the PWPD should begin. Once you decide to join the ParkinsonsOnlineFitness program, a staffer will contact you to establish your training schedule.

Massage for Relaxation and Health Improvement

Muscles Stiffness and rigidity and joint tightness and pain can severely reduce strength, flexibility, mobility, and overall function of PWPD. As sensory perception is loss there is decline in cognitive awareness which limits independence, the ability to care for oneself, and the ability to perform the activities of daily living. Researchers found that massage for Parkinson’s can identify the location of body tension, relieve stiffness and rigidity, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and improve cognitive function. Research indicated people receiving a one-hour full-body massage weekly experienced reduced symptoms and less pain.

Personal Training for Parkinson’s

Personal training can help PWPDs stay on top of everything they need to do to maintain health, wellness, and fitness as the disease progress. A personal trainer develops an exercise therapy program targeting the specific needs of the individual. The goal is to improve functional fitness and cognitive awareness to enable PWPDs to stay active and independent and to enjoy a quality life. The training regime will work to help PWPD cope with and adapt to symptoms as they change. A personal trainer can increase PWPDs’ capacity to enjoy life and do things like visiting friends, going to the theater, traveling, gardening, golfing, and playing with grandkids at the park. Personal trainers specializing in Parkinson’s fitness understand PWPDs’ unique challenges and can design a fitness program focusing on individual goals.
